Get Involved in the Community

Volunteers are the heart of Lethbridge LIP and provide the time, expertise and resources to complete projects and initiatives from our action plans. Members of the Community Partnership Council and the working groups come from many different sectors and bring unique perspectives to the work we do in LLIP. We welcome anyone who has a passion for supporting newcomers and a few hours to spare for occasional meetings and project work.

Check out the Working Groups tab for specific information about what we’re currently working on and what volunteering with a group might look like.

Lethbridge LIP also gratefully accepts financial donations or gifts in kind that help us connect with the community, such as event space or refreshments for workshop participants.

What to expect when you volunteer with a working group

Typically, working groups meet every second month for about 90 minutes during the business day. Members may also be asked to contribute a few hours during the year to assist with special events, workshops or development of resources. We welcome people from all backgrounds and sectors.

If you are interested in volunteering with or supporting Lethbridge LIP, please fill out the form below.

What to expect as a general volunteer

If you're not interested in joining a working group at this time, you may also volunteer on an as-needed basis helping with special events and projects. You may be asked to assist with set-up of tables and chairs, greet guests, or assist with refreshments, for example.
