At the beginning of a contract term (typically three to five years), Local Immigration Partnerships are asked to develop a community plan for newcomer settlement and integration into the community.
The plan includes the strengths and challenges identified through the partnership's understanding of:
newcomers' needs
community assets
gaps mapping
The plan also includes key priorities for action that would strengthen the ability of the community to be more welcoming and inclusive of newcomers.
